Author's Note

Long time conservative shock jock and liberal bogey man Rush Limbaugh had a knack for making controversy work for him, that is until February 2012 when his tirade against civil rights activist Sandra Fluke lost his time slot millions of dollars from sponsors that suddenly needed distance from Rush's gigantic wing nut mouth. Ms Flukes had testified to a congressional committee on the importance of contraception being available for all women, especially women who couldn't afford it themselves. In a three day long tirade on his radio show Rush fired at MS flukes referring to her as a "whore" and "prostitute" suggesting that she should make a sex tape so he could see it. Rush never truly apologized for his defamation of Ms Flukes and the incident served to galvanize his enemies to the point where it's been difficult for his show to attract good sponsors. Rush is notorious for sexist, as well as racist comments so it came as no surprise his big mouth finally caught up with him. Like most conservatives Rush's social, political views are painfully narrow, so much so you could fit them all on an Ipad. To me he's Ann Coulter lite (she's really out there but she's more tongue in cheek than Rush is. Her long time friendship with Bill Mahar should tell you something)
For years Rush was just about about the only conservative voice in the media now he's become something of a liability to the Republican party who desperately need to expand their tent as their greatest generation block of voters die off. To me Rush is a wing nut shock jock. His ability to manipulate the public with misinformation pales compared to the major media outlets such as FOX or CNN. When some clown with a radio show talks shit that's free speech. When a major "news" outlet does it, it's propaganda. HUGE DIFFERENCE.

He's still on in his regular time slot, which is 12-3PM Eastern (I listen to him when I work out, from 12-1PM Central on 1370 here in Pensacola) Meanwhile, taking the piss out of Rush Limbaugh is on par with taking the piss out of George HW Bush...it's passe. And boring. And how is he any different than you with his "shock jock" mentality? You shock a vast audience daily (sure, it's only here in the Cafe, but a lot of people read you) with your political and social views. And sexist? Need I remind you of your body of work? Rush's time is gone and eventually all of the people like him will wear themselves thin or evolve to suit a more liberal audience, the world is evolving and they will be left behind one way or another. Golden and informative, I must say.
Also, you need to get an actual career as a satirist. Now.

Rush doesn't worry me as much as FOX does. Their ability to misinform the public knows no bounds and their audience is massive. Rush's star has been fading for years. Ever since he got a job as a football commentator and made a politically charged racist statement about a player. Something about the player being expected to do well because he was black so he had to look good for liberals. The crack got Rush fired and he hasn't been on TV since. Then his crazy tirade against Sandra Fluke who's testimony was more about the importance of health care for woman than it was contraception cost Rush a lot of credibility. I've no doubt there was many a Republican law maker who wanted to duct tape Rush's mouth permanently after that.

hahaha, so that explains why he's no longer on AM640 radio here in L.A. I heard he's with Hannity now. Yeah I listen to a lot of talk radio here in L.A. I always thought Rush was and still is the biggest arrogant narcissistic f**k nugget out there. F**k him and his golden mic!!! haha,

Rush Limbaugh, Michael Moore, Bill Mahar. None of them should be taken seriously as they are all in it for the ratings. I'd love to see a Sumo match between Limbaugh and Moore refereed by Mahar. Other than that, I rarely watch or listen to any sensationalist. I like Dennis Miller. I don't always agree with the man, but he's always thought provoking rather than simply provoking. I used to like Rush. But the more I listened to him the more I realized he was far too slanted and had no objectivity whatsoever. I used laugh at Bill Mahar until he told my my health insurance was crappy and that was why Obamacare told me I couldn't keep it. F**k him, I don't buy 'crappy' products. I buy products that work for me and I can afford.

Both sides are beholden to big money and personal gain as public servants from both camps slide into high salary lobbyist careers when they retire from office. Policy has gotten so convoluted and so far away from the people its criminal

Rush Limbaugh is a hypocrite and the worst kind a self righteous one. He has had his own struggles with drugs yet he believes he is above the fray and he is an embarrassment to the true good that is out there. He always has an agenda, he always plays devil's advocate solely for the purpose of keeping his name in the news. He is pathetic, a misogynist and as unchristian as a person can be. I can't believe he's only become a liability now. I also cannot believe that anyone with half a brain would even listen to him. He is a trouble making low life who thinks not of humanity but only of his ratings. There is a nice seat in hell for him and it will be narrow as his views and hot as the buttons he pushes so that his fat a*s will fry for an eternity.
