Pussy riot is a Russian female punk band critical of Putin's strong arm rule. Consequently in a country with a history of popular strong arm rulers widely admired for their toughness by your average Russian pussy riot aren't exactly a popular group so it seemed strange for themto bbe invited to play at Putin's winter games and it's no surprise the cossacks wailed on them

The Russians are claiming the cossacks were rouges or something to that effect. Maybe so. In the end Putin's winter games are a lot like the old soviet Union. Riddled with drunken incompetence with some public flogging but in the end pulls itself together on parade day enough to look credible to the rest of the world
