Michael Sam's coming out

A big butch black football player

Came out and said he's gay 

Why does anyone give a s**t 

As long as he can play

His college teammates didn't mind

When they won big games 

He was one of their star players

He helped them gain acclaim 

When fourteen haters protested 

On his college campus

Hundreds of students formed a wall 

To block the haters bias 

He clearly has the public's heart 

Cause most folks they don't mind 

A fabulous football player 

Most people think that's fine 

But the NFL is up in arms

Got their panty's in a bunch 

Maybe they're all closet cases 

or is that just my hunch 

They say gay will hurt his chances

on being drafted in 

Uncomfortable in locker rooms

God says gay is sin 

Oh put your big girl panties on 

and get over yourself 

Draft the fabulous footballer 

The issue will sort itself 

The barrier of students blocking the fourteen anti gay protesters

The anti gay protesters were from the Westburo Baptist chuch. The same assholes who protested Military funerals linking the deaths to God's hatred of gays.Because of those protests Westburo Baptist church is the most despised organisation in America now and rightfully so. That's why they're so grossly outnumbered. Most people know ignorance when they see it.

ah again you bat one for the team, out of the ballpark very nice, I think if he started groping they are big and bad enough to tackle him, the sad thing is gay males are the most wonderful people usually, big hearted, fun loving, silly and very sweet and will tell you in a heartbeat if your a*s is getting to big. love'em, the whole issue is such a travesty it's the same thing as in the military issue, ironically it's an issue woman can relate to (people coming on to you that you really wish didn't) I think he's brave, and I love what the students did for him.

The students who stood for the football players are my heroes. They stood for the right thing. We have groups in Michigan who will protect families of Soldiers kill in war against demonstrators. Some people read their bible with their eyes closed. I thought Jesus said turn the other cheek and know love and forgiveness. Thank you for sharing the story.

I don't understand this homophobia. He can play the game isn't that the whole purpose of the NFL? I also think this speculation is fostered and sensationalized by the media. The ancient Greeks didn't care and they created the Olympics. What goes on behind closed doors is none of anyone's business. Great poem BR:
