Reminds me of buying a gig ticket and having the scars after to proove it, good gig ;) Maybe not in this case, but poetry is good to interpret that way, smiles x

Thank you Arzel
"buying" a ticket into the military (assuming you mean your service in the Corps with this piece--that's how I read it, anyway) is a bit of a misnomer, yeah? Volunteering for something and purchasing entrance to it aren't quite the same thing. That being said (because, face it, I'm kimmer and I say s**t like that xD) I absolutely love the resonating last line of this piece. Nobody Sen-roo-yoos like you do ;-)

I always love senryus and tankas and haikus because of the many illustrations that can be derived from the meager amount of words: in this case, I imagined going go some sort of a carnival, except something dreadful happened during the performance, an accident, perhaps? Whatsoever the incident, the second line seems to imply a performance of some sorts (performances remind me of carnivals, for some odd reason).

Ah the Circus. Popcorn and large mammal s**t everywhere you turn.
