I never came "home"
That place is gone
Because I changed
Because home changed
There's no going back
That woman is gone
That family is gone
That life is gone
I have a different "home"
Different woman
Different family
Different life
I'm finally "home"
With her
May we all find "home"
Nice! finding a home on which your heart embrace is always a rare find. It is good to hear that you've found one after all the hard times. Keep it good my friend, very nice piece.
So glad to hear you've finally found 'home' Mark. Here's to happier new years.

...and yes Lydi, I think it's me, sometimes I can't tell, thanks for such a warm welcome.
As life goes on, our concept of "home" changes along with its location. Home is really a state of mind and if you have found it, you have found your serenity. Simply written with a powerful message. I liked it a lot. Have a happy healthy new year. Lydi**
Lovely poem, a thoughful piece and a nice wish for others. Home is where the heart is, eh. Different to your other pieces but equally well-written and a pleasure to read.
Mark, I remember finding THAT one out the first time I went home on leave... what a b***h it was, All the little things that didn't mesh and the edges that kept being rubbed. Was a long time before I ever went there again - and no one really understood why I didn't, cept me.

I write just for the hell of it
