You say something you know not to

They exercise their privileges

Sometimes it's PC overload
a bunch of stupid crap
Be mindful of the words you use
and stay out of their trap

Freedom means responsible
For what you do and say
Intolerance in the media
Will get you hanged today

You can blurt out what you want to
Be burned just like a witch
If you have to shoot your mouth off

The amendment guaranteeing freedom of speech only protects its right in the courtroom, it should be rather common knowledge (or decency..?) not to, say, preach Christianity at a Buddhist temple or demote an anonymous person on the street for doing absolutely nothing (or yelling obscenities in public, despite my belief that obscenities shouldn't exist). Keep it real, keep it humorous, I should be pointing some of the students at my school towards your poetry, they could learn a thing or two.

Freedom of speech is a right and so is freedom from persecution, but these two freedoms can run counter to each other. So if your freedom of speech is about persecuting another, you are infringing on another's right; don't be surprised if in turn your rights are limited.
