Catnip Kitty Crack

A poem about addiction loosely ( very loosely) based on actual events. I've been wanting to write a poem about this for awhile but I didn't know how. I think I nailed it in true BR style.

My cat gets spooked by all the ghosts
She sees around this place
Her eyes go wide like Frankenstein
and bug out from her face

Her kitty fur stands up on end
she raises her kitty head
then she cries mournful meows
communing with the dead

She stares into my human eyes
as if she means to say
Get up off your cracker a*s
and chase the ghosts away

I don't know what to do for her
cause I don't see a thing
Perchance she's catnip paranoid
What drug addiction brings

She's on that catnip kitty crack
Scourge of society
Free basing in her litter tray
She's on a crackhead spree

She's getting weird and paranoid
turning Schizophrenic
She talks to ghosts from UFO'S
hiding in the attic

I'll just cop her another brand
Something to bring her down
So no more catnip kitty crack
For my fuzzy kitty clown

All she does is hit the cat pipe
Tweaks off her a*s all day
I took the pipe away from her
and then she ran away

Saw her downtown in an alley
Turning bad kitty tricks
Enslaved by catnip kitty crack
She's gotta get her fix

It's all my fault I know it is
So when she called from jail
I went down to see a bondsman
and got her out on bail

Now she's back at home with me
Seems the worst is over
It's been almost three months now
She's still clean and sober

That kitty crack will f**k you up
truly some evil s**t
Something you need to think about
Before that first big hit

Chasing the dragon's smoky tail
Seduced by what you'll find
lighting up catnip kitty crack
will cow your feline mind
