My Baby's got a secret, Human Nature, Ray of light, sorry, American life, Celebration, Erotica, Justify your love, Vogue, I love New York, Hung up, Love perfusion and one of my favorites, Frozen. Love her or hate her there's no arguing Madonna broke ground. As a woman with a sexuality, as an artist, as a musician. Madonna ripped it up. She is the queen, hands down

I discovered that the dials on the radio changed in 74 - in that lull between the music of the 60's and disco and rock super groups. When new wave came along I embraced the stuff - the poppier stuff that is and along with that - Madonna. I don't mind Gaga - I think Miley is over the edge but I guess that's what it takes now to sell a song. We'll see where she lands in in 25 years...that will be the litmus test.
As for this poem I cracked up reading it!

Can't sell s**t without a bit of shock value and that is in any time period I believe, it is just the type of shock that changes. Though I don't see Miley Cyrus as any bit controversial, don't know what people keep talking about, but I really like her despite myself, never really liked Madonna and Lady Gaga is okay, but there is something about Miley Cyrus that I really dig, I think she is naturally a bit odd. I assume ballsy ol' Janis was shocking before Madonna, I mean, "One Night Stand" that had to be something back then...

I was a big old Madonna fan back when I was 11 or 12, when she pretty much first came on the scene back in '81 or so (holy yeah, I just totally dated myself xD) Meanwhile, she has always been a guilty pleasure of mine, even when I turned into a metal head in '83 I still had the Madonna albums hidden away in the back of the pile ;-) Lady Gaga is socially relevant. I can't say much for her music because I am an old lady now and I don't listen to her *laugh* And Miley? What can I say. Morgan has a s**t-load of Hannah Montana stuff, t-shirts, books, whatever, and I'm okay with that, but she's more into Taylor Swift, so...I think I need to let her borrow my old Judas Priest CDs. Raise that girl right xD

Miley has to bury her Disney past so she's doing it as s****y as possible. The first GAGA lyrics I ever heard was "Bad Romance" "I want your ugly/ I want your disease/ I want everything as long as it's free/ I want your love." I thought it was hilarious. I paid attention to her for awhile after that. I love the crazy outfits, six foot heels, come out in an egg, hang yourself on the MTV music awards during your performance, dress like an outrageous drag queen Lady Gaga. Half naked stripper dance Gaga isn't as much fun.
