My Christmas Girl

My Christmas Girl

A Poem by Baby Ricochet
"

A self reminder

"

The Violence lurking in my past
The dark tales of the gun
I never told her everything
The things I've seen and done

She's seen me wallow in my wounds
From nightmares in my sleep
She's seen me sob without control
From secrets that I keep

And she's always been there for me
Of times I've gotten sick
Overwhelmed by blood and honor
of memories I keep

The Holidays are here again
and she's my Christmas girl
She's full of smiles and full of joys
The way that she unfurls

I'd rather die than let her down
Burdened by violence past
My secrets they can rest awhile
Times of a different caste

I've got to be my happy self
So she can understand
No matter what I did before
I'm still her loving man

Thank you Marie.
Very beautiful baby ricochet and so loving toward the woman in your life
Sometimes it is hard to hide our emotions but we have to put those we love during this season
Which I hope is a joyful one for you and your loved ones

secrets and past events would haunt you if have never let them go, open it up like a gift presented and face it, its part of letting go and moving on... I always see that you've passed many ordeal of your life, a part of moving on it, is learning to expressed it. And I see you've done that. This Holiday, this special person, will understand you, that's what true love is, a complete understanding of your past. To this person what's most important is today. Very well expressed my friend.

wow, such a nice tribute to her....to be with someone who accepts all sides of us...that is something most of us only hope to find...and often we never do...always expectations, always someone trying to rearrange who we are...it sucks to have to hide selves in order to be with someone. i really like what you have shared here about your christmas girl...
