Inspired by lazy rappers, talentless though smoking hot female singers, moronically childish country western and above all, predictable hipster folk bands.
Do new bands play guitars today or do they slaughter cats I quote the name of Jimmy Page I get who the hell is that
At least most know who Hendrix was and maybe good old Kieth The man's a real life zombie show What language does he speak
Eric Clapton and Stevie Ray Eddie from Van Halen Remember Slash don't say it's so He's sober clean and shaven
Ziggy Stardust spiders from mars Iggy and the Stooges The Sex Pistols and Joy Division Heavy weight influences
Public Enemy east coast posse old school hip hop rap NWA west coast gangsta Now it's sell out crap
These kids today what can I say They listen to any trash They wouldn't know great music if it shot cocaine up their a*s
So I'm getting old and cranky as I shake my fist at youth In my day music was better so f**k off you little d****e
NWA (Niggaz with attitude) caused one of the biggest ruckus at my house ever when I was a lad. As soon as my parents started hearing raps like "Crazy mutha fucka named ice cube/ in a gang called niggaz with attitude/ when I'm called off/ I got a sawed off/ squeeze the trigger and the bodies are hauled off' (NWA straight outta Compton) coming from my bed room they went ballistic. So like any kid I put on my headphones so I couldn't hear them. Mama didn't raise no fool

Oh come on Baby R. Music isn't going to stay the same from year to year, nd it shouldn't. What sounds like garbage today may be the classic of tomorrow...
ha, in my day it was Jimmy Page my Dad was yelling at me about. There are two more guitarists I would include in the list you wrote: David Gilmore and Carlos Santana.
What I am surprised about is that some younger people also listen to the music of the past. They know who many of the old artists are...one of my 4th Graders asked me if I knew "Play that Funky Music White Boy," well I did and I knew the name of the band too (I'm sure from his parents). But every generation needs to know the music of the moment it''s one of the many ways to fit it. As kids grow and get their own identities their music tastes branch out. Honestly I like Weird Al's Amish Paradise better than the original. Music seems to identify each generation- nice poem BR.
When I hear some of the music my generation listens to, I often shake my head and sigh. I just flip to my iPod and listen to some Cream, the occasional Who (it's Baba O'Reilly, damnit, not Teenaged Wasteland!) and just jam. A good poem with a clear message, although it think the rhyme could be cleaned up a bit

In that case, it's a pretty good throw away. Nice job, man, and anytime
Keith married patty hansen who grew up not too far from me. One night I had to pick up my mother at the bar up in town. When I walked in, keith was sitting there talking about the end of the world. He was so out of it I didn't even want to talk to him. No one did.
Saw page and plant and they were awesome. Stevie was awesome too. Music has taken a turn for the worse, that's for sure. Kids today are brainwashed with garbage. The following is a set of lyrics by a band called porcupine tree. You may not like the song itself but the words kind of explain it better than I can.
Porcupine Tree — The Sound Of Muzak lyrics
"The Sound Of Muzak"
Hear the sound of music
Drifting in the aisles
Elevator prozac
Stretching on for miles
The music of the future
Will not entertain
It's only meant to repress
And neutralise your brain
Soul gets squeezed out
Edges get blunt
Demographic
Gives what you want
Now the sound of music
Comes in silver pills
Engineered to suit you
Building cheaper thrills
The music of rebellion
Makes you wanna rage
But it's made by millionaires
Who are nearly twice your age
One of the wonders of the world is going down
It's going down I know
It's one of the blunders of the world that no-one cares
No-one cares enough
I write just for the hell of it
A way to spend some time
Blurting out in cyber space
Whatever's on my mind
Maybe funny maybe tragic
Emotional and raw
