The Senate race

The Senate race

A Poem by Baby Ricochet
"

This is fictional so don't go looking this up

"

This is a poetic story
about a senate race
That turned to a catastrophe
and ended in disgrace

Mc'Bain was the new challenger
The incumbent's name was Rhodes
Mc'Bain was a conservative
Famous for verbal loads

Claimed Rhodes was a commie liberal
tax and spend democrat
He licked the butts of prostitutes
and dry shaved alley cats

Rhodes said Mc'Bain was a Neo Nazi
who'd cut all state programs
so poor kids and little old ladies
would eat from garbage cans

Mc'Bain's counter accusation
was Rhodes crossed dressed at night
His drag name was miss spends a lot
His favorite wig was white

Rhodes said Mc'Bain poisoned squirrels
at the local petting zoo
and laughed like an evil villain
when little girls boo hooed

The slander went from bad to worse
Negative ads they ran
Mc'Bain they called a Corporate stooge
Claimed Rhodes spied for Iran

Then there was the debate disaster
With back and forth name calling
When Mc'Bain said Rhodes licked donkey balls
The two men started brawling

They rolled around upon the ground
The fists and feet they flew
The crowd was screaming kick his a*s
For whom nobody knew

On the day of the election
The turnout was so poor
Rigging congregational districts
didn't matter anymore

It cost fifty million dollars
To gain that senate seat
Mc'bain rose up to victory
Rhodes crashed into defeat

Mc'Bain he got his senate seat
in a disgusting race
Where lies fear and hysteria
were used to make his case

Democrat or Republican
Both sides spoon feed up tripe
Remember the words of Flavor Flav
and don't believe the hype

Now take that Weiner! What a wiener he is - but justice prevailed on that front, even in NYC. He only got 5% of the vote - but you just have to wonder about that 5%, don't you? A big smile for your poem, BR. It's certainly a lousy system for picking our leaders.

Funny, but in a sad kind of way. The problem is, whatever party you choose from, you still end up with a politician...bred only to win elections and do nothing else.

Politics seem to have become too dirty for good people to touch. I wish we did have a hero to follow.

We all instinctively want a hero. Trouble is heroes are flawed human beings like the rest of us mugs.. read more
Another brilliant satire. When are the true heroes among going to be allowed to rise and guide?
