Sarin dripping skies Phosphoric clouds float by Choking lungs bleeding gums and blinding burning eyes Death sings her tortured melodies of genocidal tragedies one last breath of sudden death and all the children die
The excellent rhyming scheme makes this comment on the Syrian atrocity stick in our brain. Excellent rhyme makes the message far more poignant and memorable, as this one needs to be.
I remember Sarin was used in the Japanese subway system. We should all be outraged and focused on the use of chemical weapons in Syria. It is a horrible and cowardly thing to do. The world better sit up and take notice instead of hiding behind the potential cost of oil if we act. We don't even get the majority of our oil from the middle east anymore anyway. As an aside, what is up with Russia? This is a timely write and a public service. You are always on the cutting edge.
Putin's a two bit thug is what's up with Russia. Thank you Blue

That is very true. The Family Guy did a hysterical parody of him.

Just horrific and unconscionable! A poem defining the ultimate in evil. Strongly worded and charged with emotion, your poem is a call to men of good will to eradicate the villains who would inflict unbelievable pain and death on others, including very young children.
When Christ said, 'Suffer the little children to come unto me', He certainly didn't mean it in that evil and excrutiatingly painful way. Thank you for putting your heart into this post, it's special in more than a literary way.
A horrifically eye opening nursery rhyme at that. Well penned, very interesting. I could see this being the inspiration of a horror movie/story. Well done
Was this inspired by recent events in Syria, Mark? Because that's what immediately came to my mind, as both sarin and phosphorous have been used there, according to reports.
As for this nursery rhyme, I like it. A unique rhyme scheme and format that flows nicely, and I did find myself reading it in my head like lyrics to a familiar song. Nicely done, my friend.
