As is all exercise, IMHO, BR. (Hint: you've got an extra "to" in line 4 of your tanka.) This is a well written tanka which many of us will be able to relate to. Exercise is a plot by the AMA to generate more business for osteopaths and orthopedic doctors.

I've hit a plateau at 315 for 8-10 reps on box squats and won't go up because I'm afraid of injuring my back. I pulled my right ham string a while back dead lifting 495 and ever since then I've been wary of stupid heavy Olympic moves. I don't dead lift any more either. I switched to Romanian (straight leg) dead lifting with light weight.

I, for one, can relate to the hell that is called squats. Can't say I've done 315, but I know of the burning rubbery feeling you have after lifting. Nice short read. Witty as always. Love your versitility.
I write just for the hell of it
