Retirement Blues

Retirement Blues

A Poem by Baby Ricochet
"

Reflections on a Retirement I'll never see

"

Someday I'm supposed to retire
But I won't live that long
Go to work and be to tired
To the grave I will belong

Retirement's a game of chance
for my generation
This ain't no place for golden years
Youth domination nation

I can roam the streets with an M16
Sticking up young punks
Gimme your money ya little s**t
Before your head's in chunks

Be bad a*s in a pimped wheelchair
Riding around real tough
Hit on hot b*****s at the home
Girl I'm still man enough

Shooting Viagra in my veins
Snorting vitamins crushed
Blowing all mt pension money
on hookers and some rush

So now you know why I won't live
to see retirement
It doesn't matter anyway
Now go fetch my ointment

I don't want to retire, ever. I want to die in bed when I'm 95 . . . . killed by a jealous husband. Another fun write BR. it's always a joy to read your work.

Thank you Dr D
I would definitely disagree with the poet who said that retirement is for those who are giving up on living, BR. If I am ever so lucky as to be able to afford to retire, that's when real life will begin! To be able to live my life for me and not for my employer seems but a glorious dream right now. I just pray I don't end up in the ground before I get a chance to really live! (I've been working since I was about 16 and now that I'm an old lady I am still working.) Funny poem, BR.

Ha-ha! I guess I'd better park my Harley and get me one of those wheelchairs! I'm glad you've seen into your future. Here's a hint--"Gold Bond".

Ha! How funny...but I admit I got distracted by seamstress's review xD I think you should just post THAT and call it a day *laugh* seriously, though, this really was funny, and, kind of sadly true. Good on ya, Mark. xoxo

;-) Always, Baby...
LOL, I knew this guy back in the days
"Be bad a*s in a pimped wheelchair
Riding around real tough
Hit on hot b*****s at the home
Girl I'm still man enough"
I will never forget him rolling up behind my friend and I as we were working at the nursing home and pinching our asses then whispering, "Hey, baby wanna ride?" As 14 year olds this creeped us out completely... until the next day when we caught him jacking off in his chair while sitting beside a little old lady sleeping in her bed.

Man you made me damn near fall off my chair. You said it here brother! My favorite part was:

Be bad a*s in a pimped wheelchair
Riding around real tough
Hit on hot b*****s at the home
Girl I'm still man enough

man your talent is without peer. You express things in vibrant heartfelt way and yet keep it real! Loved it brother it is going into my favorites!
