My late friend Dan had a cure for writer's block. He told me to go to the local yuppie sports bar, a sbrightly neon lit as you can find, with as many screens as possible. look around you. Really look. And then say, "yeah, my life sucks, and I cannot find a single thing of inspiration right now... but. At least I'm not THAT guy over there. Or THAT one. etc."

Repeat as necessary, he told me. I think this technique may work in several different settings besides yuppie sports bars.

I've never had Writer's Block, Rico, ever. There are too many interesting things happening in life and around you to not write about them. :) Question: are you going to be in the Senryu Contest ?

Do what I do....write crap....all the crap you`re thinking as you think it (not in rhyme) ....just keep writing. It`s a chain. Eventually you pull out something solid. P.
