My late friend Dan had a cure for writer's block. He told me to go to the local yuppie sports bar, a sbrightly neon lit as you can find, with as many screens as possible. look around you. Really look. And then say, "yeah, my life sucks, and I cannot find a single thing of inspiration right now... but. At least I'm not THAT guy over there. Or THAT one. etc."
Repeat as necessary, he told me. I think this technique may work in several different settings besides yuppie sports bars.
Whenever I get writers block I just write nonsense until something comes out. The thing that gets me with it is that sometimes things come out that should never be written! LOL I usually just start writing insulting messages about idiots I have met...then BOOM! I get inspired. LOL
Funny, I wish I could write one about writer's block, I've had it for weeks now.

so here's what i do:
i make a mess out of my room, and i sit within the chaos, i close my eyes and think, then turn the tv on and start going through channels, noise helps too, just don't think about writers block, think about it as a phase that will past, and it will :)

I say don't force it, don't worry about it. Nothing bad is gunna happen if you don't churn out another poem. Just go about living your life, eventually something will happen that you will wanna write about. So what if its in a couple hours or a couple months. Better to write something worth reading than to just write s**t for the sake of it.
I like the wit in this one, especially the play on the idea of having nothing in the third line. I think this is very fitting of how writers block feels overall. I went through a really long stretch of it until recently. Glad I stopped by to give this a read.
I write just for the hell of it
A way to spend some time
Blurting out in cyber space
Whatever's on my mind
Maybe funny maybe tragic
Emotional and raw
Politi.. more..
