Storm Off The Gulf of Mexico Haiku

A Poem by Baby Ricochet
"

Summer Storms in Florida are impressive

"

                 Storms roll off the gulf
Angry black clouds and waves break

Your welcome my darling.
I like how you used the plural here, many storms. I can see them rolling in like an army, breaking one by one. Nice job.

Wow, hard hitting and impactful in such a tiny package. "Poseidon's fury" is such a brilliant line, and it really rolls with the tone of the piece. Great work!

Storms in Corpus Christi are impressive too...frequently turning into hurricanes. Fortunately I live far enough away to ecape this fury.

That's a beautiful thing
O.O Is that headed to Pensacola??? xD My dad (who lives just south of Tampa) says the storms are very impressive down here...I know June 1st started hurricane season and we are not taking that s**t lightly. There is a chest freezer full of gallon jugs of water, a generator in the shed, and the tins in the pantry are adding up...we may not need it, but living in Alaska has taught us some pretty hard lessons, the least of which is the boy scout motto: Always be prepared! Thanks for sharing this, Baby, and be safe xoxo

This captures that precise moment, the storm breaking in a concentrated moment of sound and fury, bursting. Thanks for sharing!

I've only ever been in tropical storms inland- never on the coast. On my bucket list, though, to see one. I can tell you that the North Atlantic up around MA and Maine plays for keeps, though. A very unforgiving ocean, with a long memeroy of those she has taken. Easy enough to imagine Poseidon having his residence there, and occasionally vacationing in sunnier, kinder locales in order to stir things up a bit.

Nicely done.
