This work is an education BR (Im discovering haiku and senryu).
Im left wondering if the storm is Poseidons fury or if the storm is pleasing to Poseidon and the amusement of it is enough to break the fury of the God of the sea. I love being left like that by films and music and books and now by your haiku. :)
Very good, very dark, very fierce. Staccato words like needle raindrops deliver the weight of Poseidon's fury profoundly. You painted the picture you posted with your words, but the picture would have been the result of your words regardless. When a little gem of 19 syllables can do that, it is indeed a great haiku.
Oh what I wouldn't give to be there to witness one. I know...I'm insane. But being a west coast girl I've endured storms and I can't help but love them for their awesome viciousness. Great words and great photo. I love your last line, it inspires such image!
I write just for the hell of it
A way to spend some time
