Great poem. There was a wonderful lecture by a woman named Dr. Clarissa Pinkola Estes - the lecture was called "The Boy Who Married an Eagle." In the lecture she speaks about how men are treated in this culture as if they do not feel, but men have all kinds of feelings; all kinds of hopes and dreams. Men in this culture are taught to work themselves to the grave. And now women are too in addition to raising children. This is a marvelous poem. Very brave and eloquent.
What is this?!... you have morphed into something epic my friend!
I love the intensity of this piece! You are truly branching out, Baby! Amazing write!
Very interesting. Also highly relatable. I understand your frustration, but without our troubles we would have nothing to guide us. One of life's greatest messages. Surely one of my favorites.
Damn baby, damn. I was impressed by the second stanza, the rest was just icing on top. You went all out, or maybe you didn't have to because the flow is so effortless and it looks like you penned this while in the "zone", where everything you write just clicks. The buildup is great and the vocab exquisite. Good work BR, keep em coming.

Thank you Pollai
BR, this is so good. You really got into this one, and worded exactly how frustration can grow, as almost a cancer into a mind... pardon this metaphor, but it's exactly how I felt it. (and that's cause you're good to bring over the exact feeling in this poem). Excellent write.
I was browsing around and came across this piece, Baby. Wow is the first thing that came to mind. The unstopping hits just keep rolling on through. Sometimes life takes a big old turn towards Suckville, eh? You gotta just keep on standing up! Angi~
excellence is this fine write, carved in real and inked with blood--Pure poetry emotive motion

Big boys don't cry - big boys don't cry ... but oh YES, they most certainly do - and while they may try and hide it from others - there is nothing - absolutely nothing wrong with Big Boys Crying ...
But, just like a woman, these tears need to be saved for when they are needed most. As boys by definition of society, we are supposed to be stronger than girls, and we are supposed to be able to take more punishment and pain.
Me ? I never did believe what society said or dictated or expected of me - so I went by my own rules, never being quite a boy - and never being quite a girl - somewhere in-between that emotional balance. :)

I believe the best balanced psyche is an androgynous one, as feminine as it is masculine. Unfortunately I'm not that balanced and I wouldn't know where to start to go about finding that equilibrium. I really would like to though.
Gotta watch a lotta Barbie movies. Lemme know when you get that far ! :3
