I wrote this for a contest. No one's going to write from the bully's perspective so I figured I would. My apologies to my gay friends for use of the "F" word. It's just for effect
What are you looking at f****t Want my fist in your face Shove your head into the toilet Teach you the word disgrace
I love to see you terrified Cause you're my little b***h Brings me joy to hear you plead It makes my life so rich
Don't you know it's encouraging To see you squirm around Crying like a wounded kitten I stomped into the ground
I live for fear and misery It's all I've ever known With an alcoholic mother and a cruel step dad at home
He beats me with a studded belt He burns me with a pipe He tried to rape me in the a*s When mom passed out at night
He torments me for pleasure Until I fight him back So he cries to my w***e mother blames me for the attack
That drunken b***h takes his side tries to throw me out But the judge says I'm a minor So home's my only route
There's no safe place for me to go I don't know what to do So I act out with violence and take it out on you
I intimidate and terrify Make life a living hell torture torment and horrify So fear that old school bell
Then back to my tormentors Back to my worst fears Back to school to share the pain I've endured for years
None of you seem to understand It's all part of a system A cycle of violence and misery and I'm just another victim
Snickers Ricochet,
Okay not a bad thing to say but I am at a conundrum, I want this to for my library and love it through and through. Now I ask which of this one and the one I had just reviewed would you prefer to have be the art on you featured artist segment on my page? You have to choose or the public because I am for once and rarely drawn at a line of equal love for both works?
What do we do friend?
Sincerely
Chris
110/100 --- again I seriously wish I could rate this high on the rare occasions I want to.

I see this every day at school - and I have learned so many bully's stories that are close to what you portray here so well. You wrote exactly what needs to be said on the topic. Great write, Mark!
Sometimes I wonder when all the bullying will stop. The bully often needs help, as well as the victim. well done. Bullies have feelings too, though sometimes its easy to forget that. Your poem is amazing. I am also in the contest, and I really hope you place, spread some knowledge around. Keep Writing!!!!! :D
You make an excellent point here. Bullies are often a victim of a vicious system that allows them no escape. That doesn't make their actions excusable, but we must acknowledge that fact. I love the way you've done this, shifting from the hardened, angry bully to the soft, endangered victim and then back again. Great job, Mark.
I do agree a bully is also a victim...somehow, somewhere aaand at sometime they were turned into a bully...I don't think you are born a bully...painful for the one being bullied who has to wear the anger of that bully every day. In grade school we had a boy that we had nicked named Hop Sing...the reason for this is he had a limp and ran with a strange gait...not till I was older did I understand he had Polio and wore a brace for many years....he was a bully or so we thought...really it was us kids who was the first to bully without understanding what it was all about.

It's good that society is taking notice of bullying as a problem but it's not so good to automatically label bullies as Pariahs. Some of these kids have major problems that are going unnoticed because of their antisocial behavior which is the absolute worse form of behavior school officials have to deal with and the hardest to control.
