The Bully

I wrote this for a contest. No one's going to write from the bully's perspective so I figured I would. My apologies to my gay friends for use of the "F" word. It's just for effect

What are you looking at f****t
   Want my fist in your face
Shove your head into the toilet
 Teach you the word disgrace

   I love to see you terrified
   Cause you're my little b***h
Brings me joy to hear you plead
     It makes my life so rich

Don't you know it's encouraging
   To see you squirm around
  Crying like a wounded kitten
   I stomped into the ground

   I live for fear and misery
     It's all I've ever known
   With an alcoholic mother
 and a cruel step dad at home

He beats me with a studded belt
    He burns me with a pipe
He tried to rape me in the a*s
When mom passed out at night

   He torments me for pleasure
      Until I fight him back
So he cries to my w***e mother
   blames me for the attack

  That drunken b***h takes his side
         tries to throw me out
 But the judge says I'm a minor
     So home's my only route

There's no safe place for me to go
       I don't know what to do
      So I act out with violence
        and take it out on you

       I intimidate and terrify
        Make life a living hell
     torture torment and horrify
    So fear that old school bell

      Then back to my tormentors
         Back to my worst fears
  Back to school to share the pain
        I've endured for years

  None of you seem to understand
         It's all part of a system
    A cycle of violence and misery
      and I'm just another victim

Well let's call a spade a spade - we all are "The Bully" in some way - don't get me wrong I'm in no way saying that we all share identical pasts and have the same problems, but we do share that very human need to enact the same pain that has been delivered upon us. Some can control and forget these feelings and live on in a "normal" aspect, yet most relive what terrifes us - do we all go out and take our anger out on others, of course not - but a lot do and thats the real tragidy here - a never ending cycle! We must all be careful when we point the finger of blame - no one knows whats happening behind closed doors, a great piece my darling - made me think! Sorry about the rant!

The last stanza just completed it. It is indeed a very sad cycle of violence. You captured the bullys side pretty damn well me thinks. Nice write, the rhyme is great, and so is the flow :)

Hurting feeble people to find our own pleasure,is obviously an act of cowards .. :)

on the point of view of a bully you did a great job... we all know people would not something discriminating or hurtful o someone without a deeper reason... in human nature there is always a reason why people act and do what they do... i guess its not that everyone is born pure evil or just pure bad - a bully... sometimes there is a deeper sense inside their shell...

HA! Kudos to you for taking the bully side of the story and masterfully giving voice to the fact that they are victims to the problem also. Kids and adults often react to others based off their emotional grounding. It is a proven fact that humans react in different ways when we are stressed. Some can be heroes on the battlefield and some can shut down. When children are stressed or exposed to a stress they react in different ways also. Sadly no one pays attention until it too late. Great Poem!
