Author's Note

Baby Ricochet
Mazzy Star were a 90's era band from California. Their main musical influences were The Velvet Underground, The Doors and old school country western, most notably Merle Haggard and Loretta Lynn. They only put out three CD's and their Velvet Underground influence was far to heavy for them to count as an "original" or trend setting band such as the Pixies, The Smiths or Joy Division. Mazzy Star, none the less, had such a distinct sound quality to their work once you heard them you'd never forget it. They had a minor Radio hit with "Fade Into You." A slow, sad quasi country strung out on heroin tune that was distinctly Mazzy Star. Hope Sandoval went on with a sputtering solo career and I don't know what happened to the rest of the band. If they reform I don't care where the gig is I'm going. You with me Corset?

I'd had loved to put a video with this but It's more trouble than its worth
This is impressive on how you pen so many thoughts in so less number of words. I wonder how I would learn to speak "in a few words" :)

Nicely penned. I struggle with short form poems and am always impressed by those (like this one) who can do it well.
