I got the idea for this piece from the book "Economic Hit Man" by John Perkins. A book about exploiting developing nations that makes you want to start lighting s**t on fire after you read it.
If I were a gun runner or a weapons profiteer I'd build a solid legacy A monument of tears
I'd arm the peasant class Pay them rice and bread Play them off each other Until everyone was dead
Take their land away Drain them dusty dry Starve them into misery Let their children die
Murder the intelligent Exploit the ignorant Prey upon their petty fears like a genocidal tyrant
Keep them buried into debt so their economy is broken Give them crony leadership That's nothing but a token
Import labor to their land Make them slaves to industry Ruthlessly exploit them and not pay them anything
Poison their environment Pour sewage in their wells Taint the air with chemicals So disease infects their cells
So they die by tens of thousands Lots more where they came from I'll Start another resource war and blame it on Islam
It's a game of chess you see with subhumans of a nation A surplus mass of indigents meant for blatant exploitation
From the USA to Africa All across these fertile lands You're all just faceless peasants who played into my hands
Politics and poetry, two of my favorite things. Great poem. I actually thought first of Andrew Jackson and the Trail of Tears when I read this. Nice piece!

He also swindled them out of thousands of dollars and used booze to get them into entirely unfair contracts. A real sly b*****d Andrew Jackson was, and bordering on a psychopathic, genocidal maniac. I'm sorry for the rant, but I've done extensive study on that for schoolwork. And yes, many Indian casinos refuse to accept 20's because of it. I'm always happy to read your works. Write on

And he's an American legend? Jesus what an a*****e.
I absolutely agree with this poem. I really enjoyed reading it, and I must say you did an awesome job of showing the downfalls of our government and showing how everything is not as dandy as everyone seems to think it is. I enjoy your rhyme scheme and the overall tone of this poem.
Since the losers were good, the winners were awesome! In this point of time, there is much to condemn. But what's built into the system may never be reformed. Rice. I like Rice. It's our manna from Heaven in our part of the world:) Awesome write. A challenging conjecture.
Just another peasant girl... hm, I suppose. We live, we die, and there's many evil people in between. The world keeps turning, but will it stop?
Sorry, I just ranted there, but anyways great poem, it makes you think about where you are in your life.
A rant I hear and deliver myself so often, but in far less poetic words. This hits it home, where the real evil lies; and brings out the frustration of knowing that there isn't anything that will stop this kind of greed and exploitation. Great and meaningful write!
GOD i love this one!! it's the best of everything you wrote!, greed kills it's owner at last or at least i hope it does, this made me angry, and i LVOE IT!
I write just for the hell of it
