The Child InsideA Poem by Baby RicochetBaby Ricochet is having one of his moments of sanity again
At heart I'm just a simple man
with a loving child inside With everything I've seen and done Somehow he stayed alive For that much i am grateful A child can feel life's joy In the simplest of moments The world as one big toy Flirting with a lovely girl Watching the butterflies Intellects can mock and scoff Cause they don't get why Because it's stupid simple There's nothing to ponder on The joy of life is in the moment and the moment is always gone We struggle and we live in pain We blame everyone who took part But in the end it doesn't matter Only you can mend your heart A task so monumental No grownup could survive It's not for us to even start It's for your child inside © 2013 Baby RicochetAuthor's Note
