Your humorous poem of the holiday! I'm thankful you were at least, "not" politically correct. I would still invite you to a Christmas Party.
I don't listen to all those songs though! I really can't stand a majority of them.
It usually takes us about three days to fix up the house for Christmas. It used to take only an hour. But we acquired "stuff" over the years that must be displayed. Tree, wreaths, garland, nativity scene, mistletoe, village, train, snow. ribbon, lights, both inside and out.
We do it for the kids... though they are grown and no longer live here. The kids are us. We are the ones that allow the magic of the season to live and survive within us. I would decorate the house even if I were living alone.
Come by, we'll have a drink or two of cheer.
Merry Christmas, BR. Oh, your poem... fabulous!

Thank you for reviewing Ricochet's Christmas carol Michael
I feel the same way sometimes. I work in a big box store in the seasonal departments. It's ornaments this and Christmas trees that and not to mention the Black Friday bull****! My wife put out the nativity scene last night and for some reason, I felt better at ease because of it. Your sense of humor and straightforward, no-bull approach with this and a lot of your other pieces is why you have a following. Keep it up, sir.

I write just for the hell of it
A way to spend some time
Blurting out in cyber space
Whatever's on my mind
Maybe funny maybe tragic
Emotional and raw
Politi.. more..
