For George Bush

With that aw shucks crooked grin

  And that little Texas Swagger

 You were commander in chief

   You had no room to stagger

 

 You sent us to Iraq half cocked

     We had to do your bidding

 You sold fear of mass destruction

    Turns out you were kidding

 

    Another spectacular Victory

  Just like Daddy's desert storm

       Only with a little catch

      This time s**t went wrong

 

You had no plan and didn't expect

  the mayhem when it happened

     eye for eye tooth for tooth

          Desert law in action

 

    You grossly underestimated

    Desert people and their fury

     Sent us all to hell on earth

     You never seemed to worry

 

         You were the decider

       The head man at the top

    You were quick to start a war

       but couldn't make it stop

 

       Redeploy and Redeploy

           Wore us into sand

       Heroes widows orphans

          Lost to sacred land

 

     Friends I'll never see again

      With bodies ripped apart

     Home in flag draped coffins

       Breaks my warrior's heart

 

      Memories I never wanted

        Nightmares that rebound

      For all the valor and victory

      That sunk into the ground

 

      For all the tears of agony

       Every broken mother cried

  For all the pain and hopelessness

      When her young hero died

 

   This s**t's really hard to write

        My voice of indignation

 Those of us that fought your war

   Deserve a f*****g explanation

you DO deserve an explanation and while I can spot smartass coments and give orders all day, I'm just a very heartbroken, very confused foirteen year old girl with not a fricking idea as to how this started or why its happening. I'm sorry, Ricochet. I really am. I wish there was some way for me to help.

From a poetry critic's standpoint, however, this was a good write. nice flow and you have such a way of pulling a reader into your works and I have to admit tht when my list is full of requests, yoirs is the one i click first.

Screw Bush. He sends us to a country that has nothing to do with 9/11 saying that they have WMD's. The hell was he thinking? At least we currently have a president who's ACTUALLY MAKING AN ATTEMPT (and making progress) to get our soldiers out. He deserves the four more years he just got, not that Republican a*****e.

Tip if you see this this Bush: learn some Middle Eastern history; they're the reason why all of the civilizations here exist today.

I won't argue Bush's incompetence and rash actions . . . but even he was better than a certain president that lets one of our embassies get attacked and refuses to help while Americans are screaming for help and dying . . . our glorious socialist president wasn't even man enough to look that dead soldier's father in the eye when the bodies came home--mainly because it was his lack of caring that put him there, for no good reason at all. Nothing is worse than an American president who's a weakling and a coward and kisses the hands of America's enemies as they murder us

I spent 4 years (humping ruck) in the military under Bush and 6 years under Clinton. I respected both Commanders and Chiefs not because of oath or ideology, but because it was the right thing to do.
