Just being silly with writers block

No I don't like McDonalds pies

All they know how to make is fries

and their shakes taste like petroleum

 

What is up with that weird a*s clown

I'm trying to eat with his a*s around

All I can think of is John Wayne Gacy

 

White Castle's right across the Street

There's a rumor that it's Pelican meat

They're using in those greasy little burgers

 

They're not getting walk ins for their decor

FDA warning that's for goddamn sure

What do you say we go to Burger King

 

The King's Patties taste like char grilled a*s

      That's okay dog I'll think I'll pass

Maybe we should drive on over to Wendys

 

Get that Patty off the Dollar Menu

They made it out of horse and glue

Look there's still a hoof in this one

 

There's 9000 grams of fat in that

You've got a death wish for eating that

No thanks I'll just live off the coffee

 

Starbucks has my kind of snack

Coffee and Expresso liquid crack

Very funny and just a wee bit of truth. Haha. I mean when was the last time you tasted petroleum? (which I think you spelled wrong) Or char grilled a*s for that matter? And there certainly aren't enough pelicans in the world to make that many burgers from and aren't horses and glue pretty much the same thing?
Haha, I am just kidding you, I really enjoyed it. But I think that petroleum was spelled incorrectly.
Every part of my being wishes that you had chosen some cool artsy independently owned coffee shop over starbucks, though I know that starbucks is the most logical choice in the world and pretty much the only way to write this... but did you know that their expresso isn't even real? Haha, sorry.

I love coffee. I live off of coffee and cigarettes and apples for the most part. Sometimes I toss a granola bar or some tortilla chips into the mix. Oh and beer. Coffee, beer, apples, granola bars, cigarettes and tortilla chips, sometimes edemane .... that really isn't a bad diet I suppose. At least it isn't fast food!

Oh crap it is spelt wrong. Thanks. I chose Star Bucks for the same reason I chose Olive Garden in "The Date." Everyone and their mother has been in one so it's an instantly recognizable image in the readers mind. In "The Date" the line goes "That's a sweet deal lady/ You want some garlic bread." Everyone knows Olive garden lays baskets of garlic bread sticks on the table the second you sit down just like like everyone knows star bucks means coffee. Funny works best if it's absurd yet relatable to it's audience. That's why I don't write funny poems about the Marine Corps. I know all about it but if the audience doesn't, it's not funny. Funny's a niche and not everyone can do it. I'm just obnoxious enough that I can. I couldn't write a romantic poem if a midget had a gun to my crotch.

Oh I know why you chose Starbucks, that just doesn't mean I like it. Of course it was the only choice you could use to conclude a poem like this.

See, I did not know that the Olive Garden lays garlic bread on the table? Haha. I'm not kidding. I am feel like I must have been in one of those before, but now that I think really hard on the matter, I realize that I have only driven passed them two million times, but never been in one.

I don't believe you that you couldn't write some sort of romantic poem, romance can be hilarious. I know, nobody thinks of that, but I have lived it and sometimes it's so stupid it's funny.

That said, things don't have to be specifically recognized to be understood in my opinion, as long as it can be vaguely understood. I am familiar with, say a "neighborhood bar" and associate with that much more strongly than I do a Fridays or whatever those places are...

Kat Williams is one of my favorite comics. His routines while being very black are brilliant because he knew how to make them relatable to a while audience while mantaining his pimp persona. He was a comic ledgend. If you've ever watched " The Fashion Police" With Joan Rivers she's another example of a brilliant comic mind at work. I love the show and I don't relate to women's fashion at all but Joan's mouth is incredible. Goddamn she's funny. Same goes with Kathy Griffin. I'm not up on celebrity gossip but Kathy's awesome

Kathy Griffen is great. I like it best when she talks about her mother. Kat Willams never impressed me very much. Joan Rivers is wickedly funny. I love stand up! A kid, Alec Farrell who I went to high school with was hilariously funny, pointing out s**t. Though having him tell stand-up in the middle of a metal show to a metal crowd might have killed him. lol. There are a million stand up comedians that I have enjoyed, honestly. My favorites are the one who appear ridiculously smart though. I don't know exactly what your point was, though about liking those guys.
I like your poems! I do find them very funny. It is just my own moral obligation to point out things that I think about while reading poetry, haha. That's what I hope people will do when they read mine. I like to know all that crosses peoples minds. Other people prob hate hate that about me, but I can't help myself.

No point, we're just talking comics. I've seen Kathy live. I was about thirty feet from her. She was visibly nervous for about the first ten minutes but after that you could tell she was having fun. There's a film out about Joan Rivers called "A Piece Of Work." It's really funny and really tragic. Worth watching

have you seen the Colin Quinn stand up history of the world thing? I watched that recently and really, really loved it! Funny, smart, made sense. At one point he puts all these countries in a bar at closing time... It's perfect.
