This is an important issue to write about. I commend you for using poetry to deal with political affairs. I think it's a dying artform -- we probably haven't done much of it since the Ancient Greeks.

The sad thing is that these kind of ideas pop up all too regularly. Many people think it is not stupid. Many people find the horror of abortion worse than the horror of rape... as if we haven't learned that unwanted babies can become unwanted children, and that this tends to not turn out well for them or for the society that then has to argue over whether to punish them or console them.
