why indeed, Dell? because we all suffer the question why from time to time and it is a necessary question. i have felt the tuggings of this very enigmatic pulse within throughout my life. it never ends, so we just muddle through and either accept things for what they are or try to bring about change. excellent piece of prose!
I ask myself so many questions every day and i can never find answers but sometimes that is the best way, sometime you don't want to know the answer even if you have been pondering questions for your whole life... Sometimes it’s better to not ask questions and just go through with the flow of life, take risks and see where they lead you... that’s what I do anyway :P
Anyway... I don't know why you write but I know that I write because it is a way to use my imagination and my strangeness for good... Writing is a gift that everyone here has and you need to support and nourish your gift :) Don’t you dare ever stop writing Dell I will literally cry that day!

Thanks for all your kind words. It's always good to know when someone likes my writing honestly. One can't help but be insecure about their own words. I try my best. You, on the other hand, should stand alongside me in the fight to never give up writing because YOU have talent! I mean it!

I feel like I have asked myself every one of these questions. The world is always going to be cruel. If you try hard, that just means, you're a determined person and I think that's one of the best attributes someone can have. And I think we all write because it lets us create our own little worlds where we can make amazing things happen and bring joy to other people :) Great job!
Such questions can only be answered from within. Well, actually, you could ask philosophers and scientists who have dedicated their lives to answering these and many other tough questions, but not even they really know the answer. I don't believe the world is black and white, cause and effect. I don't believe these questions have straight answers. The world is too complicated, interwoven, for the why to have an easy answer. If you want to find peace with the curiousity inside you, you'll have to do a lot of deep thinking, I think. Form your own opinion. Take charge of yourself, and decide why you are who you are. Keeping wondering, my friend ;)

Thank you very much for your kind and thoughtful words. I agree. Thanks again!
The world is cruel because men are beasts. We try so hard because we wish to be more than beasts. You are writing this because you wish for others to know you strive with the beast inside yourself. You write because it gives your heart and thoughts voice. I was not aware that you cared at all what I thought but thank you so much for that consideration. I hope I have answered the last question. I KNOW I have answered honestly.

I agree, we as humans can do nothing but try to realize the demon within us all and attempt to fight back where and when we have the power to do so (even more often). I have often wished that I may be perfect but no human can be within that particular ability. I have long since learned to love myself because sometimes you are the only person that will. However not in an egotistical sort of way. I appreciate your kind words and quick, thought-out review! -Dell

Shakespeare said (or one of his characters rather) that we should, above all else, be true to ourselves and then it must follow that we can't lie to others. (paraphrased) How can a man be vain that knows his true state? We struggle in the flesh because the flesh is an emnity to the Spirit. In my opinion we must reach for the Spirit and cling to it for our very lives! The Spirit is Good and the Spirit Alone is good. But we should strive to imitate that goodness in ourselves. I am an old man, well past my prime. But I do not pontificate religiousity. I believe in love and kindness and good manners and I expect nothing less from others. I share my heart and my soul in my writing...sometimes even my fantasies, dreams and fears. But I do not wish to be judged for them but rather forgiven because of them and the honesty to bring them into the light. Peace and love to you my friend.
I am 14-years-old. I find inspiration all over the place: memories, ideas, things I notice. I like believing in things that others find impossible. I think that's the way I hope for a better future. .. more..
