Chapter Two- Part Two

If you don't already know, scuba gear is heavy. Not to mention that lugging both scuba gear AND a collection bag to someone's house (that's located across Atlantis) is really hard. Luckily though, Jaden doesn't need scuba gear and already has the collection bag at his house. All I have to bring him is a piece of  seaweed paper. Sure, it's a fairly complicated piece of paper. It tells Jaden what my dad needs, suggested locations, and how much my dad will pay him. No, it still doesn't seem as impressive as carrying gear and the bag. When I arrive at Jaden's house, he's already outside with the bag. Jaden is actually quite organized, considering the fact that he is a boy.

"Hi Seaast."

"Hey Jaden. Here's the list." He takes it. I can only imagine what's going through his head.

"I don't know what else you would be bringing me at this time of day."

"Jaden?"

"Yeah?"

"What does it feel like to search for shells in uncharted waters?"

"What does it feel like to bead something new?" He's got me there. Clearia and I each own our own craft stands. One day, dad says he'll get me my very own shop. So Jaden knows full well what he's talking about. He can almost always beat me.

"Fair point."

"That's why I said it. In answer to your question though, it's fun. The best places to look in though, are the ones we know about already." I find this kind of odd. I always thought it would be more fun in a place no one knew about. Wouldn't you discover something new everytime?

"What do you mean?"

"The cove." I glare at him. He knows I've always wanted to go to the cove. It's one of the things he always uses against me.

"Where are you going today?" He looks over his list one more time.

"The cove, death river, and laxon springs."

I nod. I know someday I'll go to the cove, but I'm not going if we take a stop at death river. Jaden skids, swishes his tail, waves and leaves me standing there. I feel something sting my arm. Glancing down I see a seadart. It's Jcubed (my nickname for Jaden's brothers). And yes, they did what you think you read. They shot me with it.
