ProlougeA Chapter by Phillitup
A young boy, about the age of nine or ten, peered around the corner. His eyes widened as he laid eyes on Queen Josephine. She was the beautiful wife of Obtrusian, co-ruler of the deep seas. Her long, shiny yellow hair fell into her eyes. He saw his mistake coming. A twitch of her head. He wrenched back, flailing, trying to run. Alas, he tripped over his own feet, (as children of his age often do). The Queen jumped off her throne, rushing to him. The boy scrambled to get away, but Josephine grabbed him by the arms. At that moment, Obtrusian burst into the room (he had heard all of the commotion). As soon as he laid eyes on the boy, he knew why he was there. "Who are you and why have you come?!" The boy shuddered, a chill running the length of his spine.
"P...P...P..." "Poseidon!" He stomped up to the boy and drew his sword. "Never again shall we live in peace! Never again shall we unite! We will split the kingdom in half and all of Poseidon's people will die!" And with that, he killed the boy. © 2012 Phillitup |
