Daffodils

Daffodils

A Poem by Delilah

The daffodils on the counter seduced me with their quiet scent. The color, a vivid yellow winked at me. Outside the sun was setting, it had just rained leaving a misty blue to cover the yard. I could hear the burns singing and as I closed my eyes I pretended they were chirping a calming lullaby. Your kiss, I still felt it on my lips. Your hands, I could still feel them caressing my thighs. I run my hands though your hair... Again I'm back with you. I keep waiting for the moment where you'll leave me just like all the rest. When I'm in your presence even the silences I enjoy. I hope this time will be different....
