If you've ever had a moment where you were hoping to be on the receiving ends of someone's affection. It can be so embarrassing and combined with alcohol hurtful to your pride. But also a little funny

All night long I looked for you smile, tried to catch your gaze, I waited for awhile. I told myself you were searchng put me, I was guided by a liquor bottle. That excitement, that self indulgence, I was seduced, if for just awhile. But then you approached her, right behind me. Told her she was a beauty. What a fool I felt, of course it couldn't possibly be me...

what a huge disappointment is when it's somebody else that the guy is checking out. it's worse when you have low self-esteem. drinking only makes it worse, because we either make a fool out of ourselves or get really really depressed. great poem.
