whitewash

A Poem by dele

Politicians often show concern,
As to what society can do
to get me and all ‘urban youths’
out of this ‘gang-life’ loop.

They mess around with Macpherson report
and push their stop and search
and now they’ve got me (concealed weapon)
wondering in prison church:

How comes they get paid so much
For social policy, inchoate?
I got fired last time i didn’t work
And that was only for minimum wage.

They should ask me, for half the tranche
youth crime I’d revolute
I’d just paint my race’s faces blanche
And like voila, from gang to group.
