lonely eyes

lonely eyes

A Poem by delapruch
"

na.

"

almost always

ready to tear

they look back

at you in their

best impression

of someone who

walks with security

who doesn’t curl

up at night afraid

of every next breath

alone afraid of

what might come

if they find out

who s/he really is

inside so s/he

walks among us

with a false face

that with lonely eyes

encased cannot

hide the truth

that deep inside

s/he’s dying

oh so

quickly.
