abandoned

abandoned

A Poem by delapruch
"

na.

"

s/he’s one of those

that can never be

alone, you know the type---

close your eyes,

throw a rock &

you’ll hit somebody

who was abandoned

early on,

by an irresponsible

parent or a guardian who

decided to stop

guarding &

all the shrinks in the

book (smartphone directory)

will say the same thing,

that now is not the time to

pretend one doesn’t have

abandonment issues,

that now is not the time to

look for other reasons

round the commitment bush,

that s/he’s one who’s got to

understand

that there’s no such thing as

permanence in this world,

no matter which way it’s

cut &

it’s a hard pill to swallow &

it will rip & tear your guts out

but you leave just as you came,

alone,

alone,

alone---

so grow some thicker skin or

suffer.
