A Poem by delapruch
"

na.

"

oh our western privileged lives

are so boring

so mundane that

we keep our eyes glued to the screens,

be them big or small,

wide or tall,

compact or filling the

room,

these visual mishaps,

fresh new catastrophes,

murder rates, serial killers,

rapes, burning villages,

dead bodies strewn on the ground,

floods, oil spills, lightening striking

where the tornadoes &

the hurricanes haven’t yet

wrecked &

havoc

havoc

havoc!

another shooting here

another stabbing there &

its something to discuss

over the dinner table,

something to text, to twatter, to

facefuck,

so that our pitiful lives are

illuminated once more,

whilst the aliens pondering to

stop here to take a piss

at this intergalactic

rest stop,

watch our little feeble eyes

twitch,

with nothing going on behind them

but the intense need for more

tragedy.
