Home out of you

Home out of you

A Poem by TheGrimm_Sleeper
"

You can't let your fear of love get in the way of what's met to be...

"

I promised myself I wouldn’t make a home out of you….

Not because you were built different or because someone else had shattered your windows in the past but because every home I’d lived in fell like a house of cards, fragile and made of paper.

So when we met I assured myself I wouldn’t make a home out of you… that I would only stay for the time I was allowed.

But with your arms around me like resilient walls and your heart as warm as a blazing fireplace I have never felt more safe and protected then when I’m with you.

So I packed my bags and left the rest behind… I promised myself I’d make an honest and loving home out of you.

I thought the ending was really sweet. I really enjoyed this, it expressed the scariness of it all when you've been broken so many times. Perfect

Ah, I see how trapped you are here, its hard to let go of such a beautiful house, when you know that its all facade and lies, I know exactly well, sadly... she and I were both that houses, you can call us, really good neighbors

Loved the ending. It's amazing thought that one could be like a home to some. Tyfs.
