Your Loneliness

Does your loneliness take on the same form as mine?

Does your loneliness creep in your window on a frigid November night, ascending down the windowsill and blackened walls? Does your loneliness tiptoe to the end of your bed and leer over your sleepy body as you replay the past.

Does your loneliness write it’s way into your dreams casting menacing shadows of a ghostly love that you once had? Only to startle you awake because you feel “their” presence lying next to you? Tell me does your loneliness take on the same form as mine?

I can’t be alone in even feeling this lonely.
