A Grey DayA Poem by DeirdreThis is a work still in progress...I think. I started it a few years ago when I was going through a very stressful time. It sort of came to me in a dreamtune...if that makes any sense. :-)For the colors of the rainbow shine not bright upon my door and the sights that used to thrill me don't excite me anymore.
The dust on pristine pages tear me up with blinding rage and I wonder who I want to be as I slowly disengage.
Like the morning sun in glory I want to know the joy I want to be the open wings of adventure. Leave me bouyd.
But I stand alone. I stand so free I try so hard in vain Will there ever be a day for me When I'm laughing at the rain?
Perhaps a human hand to touch me let me know the world exists bring me back to sun and wind again when the wall is made of bricks
See, dreams are not enough... But - yes, I'll try it once again. For all I need to know is that you're there for me...my friend. © 2008 DeirdreReviews
