My Love

RMW

You were my everything.

You made me smile when the universe hated me

You talked with me about the deepest things in my soul

You laughed with me about cheesy math jokes and puns

You and I translated each other’s names in google translate and laughed in the dead of night

We got lost in each other for many hours

We dreamed about what we could do together

We exchanged addresses

We stayed up till 3AM comforting and talking with each other about random things.

We passed notes in the Library

I gave you my all

I told you how I felt

I shared everything with you

I trusted you with anything, with everything

I woke up and went to bed each night with you in my thoughts

And then…

You devastated me

You chewed me up, and spat me back out.

I went insane. I was pissed.

At myself

At you

But now I would like to thank you.

You gave me a thrill of an adventure that I could never forget

That I will never forget.

That is the power of optimism, that even if everything bad in the world happens, you can remain good natured.

If my everything abandoned me, I can still look to the future, reflect upon myself, improve.

But even more so, It allows me look towards the future.

It allows me to give you this poem, without fear of your response.

I trust you unconditionally

I shouldn’t, I know, but you know all my secrets, you know about my lack of emotions, about almost everything that swims in my subconscious, but you haven’t used that against me.

So doesn’t that make you trustworthy?

Another thing…

I’ve noticed that whenever we have those philosophical debates about relationships or emotions, we are both sharing the inner most thoughts of our subconscious. The deepest most trusting level of exchange.

You probably haven’t noticed
but you trust me as well, even if you don’t think you do.

Its better to have loved and lost than to never have loved at all
