Black box

Black box

A Poem by ramblingsofapoet
"

This is a about a personal fight to overcome depression

"
DARK, SHADOW BOX
IN BETWEEN
THE LOST OF HOPE
BUT, I WONT
GIVE IN TO THE THE DEPTHS
OF THE SOIL THAT OPENS UP
TRYING TO TAKE A GRASP
AT MY LEGS
I KEEP HOLDING ON
ROOT LIKE VINES
ARE COMING OUT
BEGINNING TO ENTWINE
AROUND MY LIMBS
CALLOUSED PALMS
PAINFUL PHALANGES
I TRY, OH HOW HARD, I TRY
TO HOLD ON
I WILL NOT SURRENDER TO
DARK HOLES OF THE UNKNOWN
SUN'S BRIGHT, HOPES THAT I
JUST MIGHT BE HERE TO
MAKE A BREAK FROM THIS
DARK SHADOW THAT LOOMS
IN THE DAYS OF UNCERTAINTY
