She Loved The Moon

She Loved The Moon

A Poem by deer-heart
"

A ballad to a stormy night.

"

in the blind  blind  blind
of the night
can you see them?
the wind is sleeping  sleeping  sleeping in the night
can you hear her?
adverse watchmen of the dreaming
do they tremble?
the wind is sleeping  sleeping  sleeping in the night
come to rest in the arms of a dark beloved
is she safe there?
but she awakes at the sound of a skyborn sea
long armed lovers bend and break (away)
and she is lost, washed away
ah, ah, ah, washed away
the wailing pourdown rests, poor wind
she settles back into her restless bed
she sleeps  sleeps  sleeps once more
can you hear her?
in the blind  blind  blind
of the night
shhhhh, she's lost
in the blind  blind  blind
