geologyA Poem by Deepwood's Hartone time i fell in love
Me and you let us move slowly
Like continents Let us fossilize and dissolve into the timeless rock My biology and your history are like dust On a page. Drink with me the rain as it falls on us. Centimeter by centimeter I have drifted Into a cave Limewater drips into lacy teeth. Molten rock slips beneath us We converge Let us form trenches and mountains together. You settled on my skin, beneath it, tattooing me In volcanic ash. Our crater abandoned, let us compress into sandstone. © 2010 Deepwood's HartReviews
