Memories....and Letting Go

Our memories normally mean everything- including wanting to re-live them.

Merge the old and new,
And form memories
That kindle your mind.
Forget not those who helped form you,
Making you the person you are today.
But remember them,
By forgiving, and letting go-
Let go of the past
That you've held so ideal,
And see the thorns in the rose,
For nothing is as perfect as it seems.
That includes your precious memories
You hold on so tightly to.
Remember one thing-
You are yourself and you're fine wherever you are
For no one is above or beneath you,
And that there is always hope.
