The Faceless Woman

The Faceless Woman

A Poem by JUSTWRITING
"

Lost, lonely and broken-hearted...Looking like a rose...

"

Feeling lost and lonely,

Tired and broken-hearted

She stands on the edge of an isolated cliff.

Looking like a rose,

But feeling pricked by a rose’s thorn.

Looking down she sees nothing; there seems to be no floor.

It looks bottomless.

As if there’s no end.

It looks particularly enticing to jump.

Lonely, lost and tired is how she feels

Broken-hearted she is.

No one seems to know her,

She is a faceless person;

Just a person in the crowd.

But a human she is-

She has feelings and emotions

Though she never tells anyone

Nor does she talk to anyone else.

She just exists.

JUSTWRITING
We see people in a crowd, but do we actually know what they feel? Or what they're going through? What do you think, person in the crowd of viewers?
