The Cost of Love

True love will make lovers come closer...

You can’t put a price on love

But you can certainly disagree with it.

Who you love, is up to you,

But if the other person doesn’t reciprocate the love

Then what’s the point?

But, as the saying goes;

The heart wants what the heart wants,

And you certainly can’t argue with that!

But my point is that

Whether you ever loved someone or not;

And I mean fallen in love with a person,

There will always be some obstacles in the way

So that the lovers can prove their love to one another.

 

I may be a hypocrite when I say all this

But I say this with pride and dignity,

Because I know when my time comes,

Or if it comes at all,

Then I’ll have to prove myself to the world

And more importantly, to my other half.

And I hope, (and hopefully will) succeed in doing so.

Till then, I will part as a hypocrite

But with honour, and dignity.
