Conflicting Emotions

Strong emotions can make a person weak...this is my story

Raging emotions course through me like a raging bull

Conflicting in me

Like a war going on.

Surprisingly anger does not enter the war

Instead nervousness and dullness have entered.

Mirth has joined in too,

But worry enters like a warrior,

Ready to slash anyone trying to fight, sword in hand.

Jealousy decides to take a hand in it too,

Confusing me when I look around

And see people around me,

Not letting me see past my own nose.

The war intensifies in me

Getting me ready to explode at any given moment.

I’m just waiting for the explosion

Saving me from any strong emotion

Trying to make a former self of me.

Author's Note

This poem is true. It's a rough patch for me, so writing out a poem, editing it and finalizing it helped keep some emotions at bay. The only way to get 'rid' of this problem was to write this poem, so viola! Please tell me how it read!
