Together Forever

Is it really together forever?

I loved them both,

And they, me.

But knew I had to choose one

And fast, for they were killing each other

In the process.

I did what I could do.

I left.

I’d gone for a long time,

Doing what I did best

Battling ‘bad guys’ and ridding places of ‘villains’.

But I’d failed battling my inner demons,

Choosing between J and P.

I, A, was incredibly silly that way

And was no damsel in distress.

I could handle myself well.

 

I chose J, killing P in the process.

But after a series of unfortunate incidents

I kept going back to P.

One day, when I went to J

I found him with another woman.

Apparently, she was his ‘true love’

And had found her during one of the

‘Unfortunate incidents’

I did the only sane thing.

I went to P forever,

And never regretted that decision since.

Author's Note

This is based on a movie I just watched, and heartily disagreed with the ending. Then I thought, how can I change the ending? This poem is a result. 'Lemme' tell you, this technique is highly satisfying- it's so relieving. Well, please read and, maybe, review!
