Love Gone AwryA Poem by JUSTWRITINGA love poem with a differenceHe gave me a rose I threw it away. He gave me a box of chocolates I threw it away. He gave me a present I threw it away. Whatever he gave me I threw it away. He also gave me love I threw that away. Now, I’m paying the price for that.
Before he came, I was cold-hearted and anti-social. He opened up a whole other side of me That I never knew existed before. But now I know, and I'll never forget What it's like to be loved And to love.
For his sake, for him I've changed, become a better person. But I suppose, now, Though, it's too late. © 2011 JUSTWRITINGAuthor's Note
